Webinar: Getting to Grips with Great ºÚÁÏÍø Governance
This webinar series is an accessible course for all those in leadership and governance to understand their roles and responsibilities, audit and evaluation mechanisms, and best practice examples in relation to ºÚÁÏÍø governance.
This course has been specifically designed to support all governance personnel in fulfilling their statutory duties and to prepare for external scrutiny. The series supports those responsible for governance in both maintained and academy sectors.
Part 1 - Governance Structures and Legislative Frameworks
This session provides clarification on the legal status of governance personnel in maintained and academy sectors, share common models of governance and the associated roles and responsibilities.
Part 2 - Evaluating the effectiveness of ºÚÁÏÍø Governance
This session gives an introduction to models of evaluation, including self-evaluation/ peer to peer/ expert-led models. Presenters also share the MAT and ºÚÁÏÍø Governance Review Frameworks and provide cross-sector examples of effective use of ºÚÁÏÍø Governance Review.
Part 3 – Sharing best practice examples of ºÚÁÏÍø Governance
The series concludes by sharing further examples of good practice and ensuring that personnel responsible for governance in all settings understand their roles and responsibilities and are enabled to support best practice in their settings.
