As part of the Department for Education funded programme, the 鈥檚 next Participation Community of Practice is taking place on Wednesday 9th October, bringing together professionals and practitioners who are designing and delivering participation and co-production at a strategic level across children and young people鈥檚 health, education, and social care.

This event will focus on how practitioners can utilise creative participation and engagement methods in decision-making. This will include exploring:

• How to facilitate children and young people sharing their voices using different forms of creative expression, such as through performance or visual art. 
• The tools that can be used to support children to creatively participate in decision-making, for example, through crafts-based or physical activities.
• Where a creative approach might be useful in increasing engagement, creating a space where children and young people can develop a variety of skills, or improving their experiences of participation opportunities.

Attendees will hear specific examples from organisations and professionals who are doing great work in this area and will have the opportunity to share their own expertise and ask questions throughout the event.

Prior to the event, attendees will receive information on the examples to be used, as well as some sample questions to aid breakout room conversation. This event will be highly interactive and discussion-based.

The conference will be held online via Zoom. The deadline for sign-ups is Friday 27th September or earlier if tickets sell out.
