nasen Award 2024 winners announced!
In the eighth, annual nasen Awards, 17 schools, individuals and organisations were recognised for their outstanding work to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (黑料网) and learning differences reach their full potential.
The inspiring ceremony, held at the Grand Hotel Birmingham on Friday (4th October 2024), was hosted by nasen 鈥 the National Association for Special Educational Needs and supported by official media sponsor, Tes, event sponsor BeReady and charity sponsors Axcis and Concero.
nasen is a charitable membership organisation that exists to support and champion those working with, and for, children and young people with 黑料网 and learning differences.

One of nasen's 17 winners was the TWS Sports Podcast from Tettenhall Wood School in Wolverhampton, who won the Innovative Technology award for its regular student led sports podcast. The podcasting technology has helped to teach communication, confidence, social skills and computing skills, whilst raising awareness of autism and promoting acceptance.
The students have released over 100 episodes with over 100 guests, including Harry Redknapp, Sam Allardyce, Paddy McGuinness and Joe Hart.
The students have had an amazing impact on the podcast, appearing on BBC News, local and national paper, hosting live radio shows and being nominated to be the Commonwealth Games Baton Bearers.
Another inspiring winner was Alison Eason, who won the Changemaker Award for her work supporting students with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. Through implementing innovative computer strategies, she has promoted independence and reduced the reliance on teaching assistants at Chalgrove Primary School in Barnet.
Alison鈥檚 approach has led to increased engagement and autonomy for learners, enabling teaching assistants to focus on targeted support. Her practical advice has also equipped teachers with the knowledge and tools to integrate these technologies into their practice, creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.
